Education:
Igone de Jongh began her dance training with Ballet Studio Kennemerland. She continued her training, from 1988, with the Nationale Balletacademie, and in 1995, she went to The Royal Ballet School in London, graduating in 1996. In 1995, she was a finalist at the Prix de Lausanne, and during her training in London she won the Arnold Haskell Award.
Career:
She joined the corps de ballet of Het Nationale Ballet in the 1996-1997 season, and was rapidly promoted to the rank of principal dancer (1999; coryphee, 2000; grand sujet, 2002; second soloist, 2003; principal dancer).
Prizes:
In October 2002, Igone received the Incentive Prize 2002 (Dansersfonds '79)
She also won the 2001/2002 Alexandra Radius prize.
Was twice nominated and invited to the Benois de la danse
